STEP BY STEP, THE LENZ WAY

By following our complete program year after year, you will enjoy a healthier, greener, and weed free lawn.

STEP 1: APRIL-MAY

We start the season strong with a heavy dose of Premium Slow-Release Granular Fertilizer and a season-long crab grass control. This step is essential for keeping your lawn green and healthy throughout the spring.

*This application does not kill already developed weeds.

STEP 2: May-June

Time to be proactive and protect your lawn from upcoming summer stress. Pesky weeds such as dandelions start to germinate this time of year. This step includes fertilizer w/ broad leaf weed control and pre-emergent to target weeds that come up between applications.

STEP 3: JUNE - JULY

Your lawn is due for much needed nutrients this time of year. Premium Slow-Release Granular Fertilizer with added micronutrients and soil amendments will help support a thick green lawn. Spot treatment with our broadleaf weed control targets any newly developed weeds.

GRUB CONTROL: EARLY SPRING

Grubs, including Japanese Beetles, can be a huge frustration and they can damage your lawn, plants, and trees. Gain control of the problem before it starts. Our grub control application is applied prior to peak egg hatch in early July.

STEP 4: AUGUST - OCTOBER

Help your lawn’s natural thickening process by adding micronutrients and other essential minerals to your lawn. Newly emerging weeds will be controlled by applying our broad-spectrum cocktail.

STEP 5: OCTOBER - NOVEMBER

Minnesota winters are especially harsh on our lawns. This step is crucial to promote a greener and healthier lawn throughout the fall and early spring. To improve your overall root system strength, we apply our Premium Slow-Release Granular Fertilizer for next year’s uptake.

AERATION: EARLY SPRING OR LATE FALL

Highly recommended annually! Aeration reduces soil compaction, improves water and nutrient absorption, and allows air to penetrate to the root system. Natural and safe, aeration promotes the overall health and quality of your lawn.
